ゲッ！。

実はPostgreSQL7.4.9をVine3.2にソースからインストールした時に、readlineがインストールされているにもかかわらず、not foundのエラーメッセージが出ました。

（readlineのエラーメッセージ）
checking for readline... no
configure: error: readline library not found
If you have readline already installed.  see config.log for details on the
faulure.  It is possible the compiler isn't looking in the proper directory.
Use --without-readline to disable readline support.

エラーメッセージには詳細はconfig.logを見ろと言っていますが、見てもよくわからなかったので、--without-readlineを使って逃げてしまいました。今調べてみると、確かにVine3.2ではreadline-develがありません。

・・・ということでdevelをインストールして、PostgreSQLを最初からインストールしなおして解決しました。
