[pgsql-jp: 34884] Re: pgpoolで決まったレコードだけエラー

データのサイズではなく、データの中身で落ちているようです。
石井さんがやったのと同じように以下の操作をすると落ちません。

create table t1(t text);
insert into t1 values(repeat('abc',2000));
select length(t) from t1;
  length 
 --------
    6000
select * from t1;

そこで、実際に落ちるデータの中身を入れたところ症状が再現しました。

delect from t1;
insert into t1 values((select text_field from infodata where id=1530));
select length(t) from t1;
 length
--------
   5764
(1 row)

select * from t1;
server closed the connection unexpectedly
        This probably means the server terminated abnormally
        before or while processing the request.
The connection to the server was lost. Attempting reset: Succeeded.

どこで落ちているのか、データの中身を後ろから削っていって
状況を見ようと思います。
